Three things to do

  1. Register yourself

Submit a separate registration for each grandparent or special friend attending. You will need their name, your grandchild’s name, and whether anyone needs a wheelchair or accessible parking.

    Register Today!
  2. Come on the right day

Little ones (Pre-K3 through Kindergarten) are Thursday, November 19.

Grades 1–4 are Friday, November 20.

These are two different campuses. If you have grandchildren in both, please come both days.

  3. Arrive a little early

Parking and check-in take a few minutes.

Thursday, November 19: Park at Gateway Church in Frisco and ride the shuttle for front-door drop-off.

Friday, November 20: Free valet is available at the South Campus West Entrance.

Bring a photo ID. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. You will get a visitor sticker when you check in.

Reminder: registration closes Wednesday, November 18th at noon. Please register yourself before then so we can plan for your visit.

What the morning is like

A short visit. Not a full school day.

Your grandchild will show you their classroom and introduce you to their teacher. Then you will sit in on a short program.

  • Upon arrival, you will check in and be given a map and help finding your student’s classroom. There will be many people available to assist with questions or directions.
  • Enjoy visiting your student’s classroom and a brief student presentation.
  • Take photos. Have a cup of coffee. Visit the Book Fair or Feather & Talon Fan Shop Pop-Up.
  • If you arrive before your time, you do not have to stand outside. ELC guests can wait in the Chapel. Lower School guests can wait in the cafetorium.
  • If your grandchild is going home with you at the end of the program, they are welcome to ride the shuttle back to Gateway Church with you after you check out with their teacher.

Arrival & parking

Where to go, step by step

These are two different addresses. Please use the one for your day. The steps below are how guests arrived last year. If parking changes, this page will be updated before you come.

ELC Day · Thursday, November 19

Park here, then ride the shuttle:

Gateway Church
7125 Legacy Drive
Frisco, TX 75034
  1. Put the Gateway Church address in your phone. Do not drive to the school first.
  2. Park at Gateway. The first shuttle leaves about 8:30 a.m. and keeps running all morning.
  3. Ride the shuttle to the Early Learning Campus, 6600 Lebanon Road.
  4. Check in and get your visitor sticker. If you are early, wait in the Chapel — coffee and treats are available.
  5. Need accessible parking? Mark that when you register. Those spots are on the school lot, and only for guests with accessibility needs.
  6. If your grandchild is going home with you after the event, they are welcome to ride the shuttle back to Gateway Church with you after you check out with their teacher.

Lower School Day · Friday, November 20

Come straight to campus:

Legacy Christian Academy
5000 Academy Drive
Frisco, TX 75034
  1. Put 5000 Academy Drive in your phone.
  2. Use the free valet at the West Entrance, or park in any open spot.

  4. Check in and get your visitor sticker. If you are early, coffee and treats are available in the cafetorium.
  5. Need accessible parking? Use the valet, or park in a handicapped spot. Please say so when you are registered.

Please allow extra time. Presentations start on time, so it is better to be early and wait with coffee than to miss the beginning.

If you cannot come

Honorary Grandparents

Every student deserves someone special in their corner.

We know that not every grandparent or special friend is able to join us on campus for GrandEagles & Special Friends Day, and we want every student to have someone special to share this experience with.

Our Honorary Grandparent Program gives students the opportunity to be paired with a Legacy staff member to be their child’s GrandEagle for the day!

It is a simple way to make sure every student has a special person cheering them on, visiting their classroom, and sharing in the excitement of this beloved Legacy tradition.

Whether near or far, every grandparent and special friend holds a meaningful place in the heart of a child. We are grateful for the opportunity to surround our students with a community that celebrates them and helps them feel known, loved, and supported.

We will do our best to thoughtfully match each student with a special person who can help make their GrandEagles Day memorable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have Questions?

Who can come?

A grandparent, aunt, uncle, family friend, or another special adult in the child’s life. More than one guest is welcome. Please register each person, and include the student’s name.

Can parents come too?

This morning is for grandparents and special friends, not for parents to attend with their child. Parents may volunteer by emailing shannon.culley@legacyca.com.

I have more than one grandchild.

If they are in different divisions, they are on different days — Thursday for Early Learning, Friday for Lower School. If they are both in Lower School, go to the oldest child’s start time first. The other child stays in class.

Can I take my grandchild home afterward?

Only if the parent has planned that with the school, and only after you check out with the teacher. If you are not sure, leave the child at school for regular dismissal. Students who are checked out may ride the shuttle back to Gateway Church with you.

What if I use a wheelchair or need a close parking spot?

Mark that when you register. Early Learning guests with accessibility needs park on the school lot, not at Gateway. Lower School guests should use the free valet or a handicapped parking spot.

What if I get there early?

You’re welcome to arrive early and settle in. Early Learning guests can wait in the Chapel, and Lower School guests can wait in the cafetorium. Coffee and treats will be available while you wait, and you’re welcome to visit the Feather & Talon Fan Shop Pop-Up.

We are glad you are coming
