Legacy Learning Center

Yes. The Legacy Learning Center provides support for diagnosed neurodiverse learners — including dyslexia, ADHD, and other language-based learning differences. Students receive accommodations and specialized services within the full LCA school experience.

The LLC application is for current LCA families and applicants. If you are new to Legacy and interested in the LLC, please let Admissions know of your interest, and they will connect with you on next steps.

We support students with qualifying neurodiverse diagnoses — commonly dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, auditory processing, and other diagnosed learning differences — who have a documented functional limitation and educational need for accommodations or specialized instruction.

Students receive individualized support through a combination of classroom accommodations, small-group instruction, and strategic interventions designed to minimize time away from core classroom learning.

Students must have a diagnosed learning difference and a comprehensive educational evaluation that documents their educational needs and supports eligibility for LLC services.

Testing must be completed within the last three years. This is required by LCA and also aligns with ACT/SAT accommodation requirements for upper school students planning for college.

Yes. Current LCA families may choose to work with our educational diagnostician or seek an evaluation from one of the trusted outside evaluators we recommend. Accommodations are individualized based on documented need. Examples include extended time, digital resources such as text to speech, note-taking support, quiet testing room, etc. Services and accommodations facilitate growth in learning awareness, self-advocacy, and organizational habits.

Take Flight is LCA's evidence-based dyslexia therapy curriculum. It covers phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and reading comprehension through multisensory, structured instruction. Yes. The Esperanza program provides Spanish literacy intervention for students in our Spanish Immersion program using a multisensory, structured approach. Current research supports remediation in both languages for students with dyslexia. At LCA, Take Flight is delivered during the school day (five times per week), therapists collaborate directly with classroom teachers, and the full curriculum is completed, typically in 2.5–3 years. Private therapy often competes with after-school activities, may use modified curricula, and may not align with LCA classroom expectations.

If you are a current family, complete the LLC application online. You'll provide student information, testing dates, and responses to parent and student questions that help our team understand your child's needs. Submission of current psycho-educational testing is required.
