Creating Community

Nourishing a Brighter Future

The Office of Community & Belonging honors the diverse tapestry God has created and fosters belonging across every corner of LCA — guided by our Kingdom Unity program and the tenets of Ephesians 4:1–6.

At LCA, we believe all people are made in the image of God, reflect His glory, and have profound value. Kingdom Unity reaches all areas of the school — shaping how we welcome families, teach students, and build community together.

Our primary objective is to establish a school of belonging for all community members, cultivating unity in an atmosphere where every member feels valued and deeply respected.

“I, therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”
Ephesians 4:1–6

Who We Are

Identity Is at the Core

Our primary and paramount identity is in Christ. This shared identity binds us together as an LCA community — and every program in Community & Belonging flows from that foundation.

Students and families bring God-given uniqueness to our campus every day. Community & Belonging exists so that uniqueness is celebrated within unity — not uniformity, but oneness in purpose as the Body of Christ.

We promise that your child will be known, loved, and prepared in their God-given uniqueness — the same commitment woven through academics, spiritual life, and student support at LCA.

Areas of Focus

Diversity Through God’s Creation

LCA interprets diversity through the lens of God’s creation — guided by GRACE across our community.

Gender

God made them male and female. Genesis 1:26–27; Matthew 19:4

Race

Sociological construct that groups together people with similar and distinct characteristics. Revelation 7:9

Age

Life begins at conception and age is the number of years lived. Psalm 139:13–16; Ecclesiastes 3:1–2

Ability

God has given each person talents, gifts, and skills to uniquely equip the body of Christ. John 9:1–3; Ephesians 4:11–16

Culture

Customs, traditions, and societal expectations of a group of people. Revelation 7:9

Economic Status

As Christians, we are stewards of God’s resources including all material wealth and possessions. Mark 12:41–44

Scripture & Conviction

Rooted in the Gospel

Our Kingdom Unity program is derived from the Bible — acknowledging God’s omnipresence throughout creation and nurturing a community that mirrors the diverse facets of His identity.

Unity in Purpose

Throughout the Bible, God consistently urges His people to unite in Him. As Dr. Tony Evans says, “unity is not uniformity; unity is oneness in purpose.” The ultimate objective is to serve as a compelling witness, reflecting the essence of God and His character.

Heaven’s Diversity Today

When we fulfill God’s purpose on earth and reach heaven, we will find ourselves surrounded by the diversity He meticulously crafted, as illustrated in Revelation 7:9. The groundwork for that future unfolds in the present moment.

Genesis 1:26–27 John 17:20–23 Ephesians 4:1–6 Revelation 7:9
