The Bridge · Grades 5–8
We will know your child, love your child, and prepare your child.
At Legacy Christian Academy, we take a distinctive approach to middle school by building a peer and mentor support system into the experience. Our middle school, also known as The Bridge, isn't just about academics with a biblical worldview that prepare students for high school and college.
It's about giving students the solid footing they need to tackle life and relationships with confidence — navigating grades 5–8 with knowledge, wisdom, community, and purpose.
Families across Frisco, Plano, McKinney, Prosper, and North Texas choose The Bridge for a Christ-centered environment where every student is known, challenged, and equipped for what's ahead.
IGNITE is our high-energy two-day conference for middle school students that kicks off each school year. Students gather in worship and faith — academically challenged, ignited with passion, rooted in belief, and surrounded by a community that loves them and equips them to embrace their God-given purpose with boldness and conviction.
Middle School House Program
All middle school students are placed into one of four houses — close-knit communities that compete, serve, and mentor throughout the middle school years.
Hero of the faith — education pioneer
Hero of the faith — author and apologist
Hero of the faith — courage and forgiveness
Hero of the faith — missionary and servant
Houses compete for the coveted House Cup through athletic challenges, academic achievements, service projects, school spirit, and participation. Weekly Squad meetings within each house provide mentorship — with older students guiding younger ones in same-grade, same-gender groups.
“The Bridge” is Legacy’s Middle School program designed to support students as they navigate grades 5–8, focusing on five pillars: knowledge and wisdom, social and emotional growth, community and connection, spiritual and leadership development, and service.
Students are placed into one of four Houses, competing in friendly events. Weekly Squad meetings within each House provide mentorship and foster leadership through cross-grade.
Students grow as leaders, serving their peers and the community through roles in Houses and mission trips like Helping Hands to Houston.
Students are encouraged to excel academically, with honors programs for advanced learners and the WIN program for those needing extra support.
The LCA YOU program teaches essential life skills such as tech safety, nutrition, financial management, and conflict resolution, preparing students for the future.
Academic Offerings
Each student is uniquely gifted — we offer individualized instruction through WIN support, honors acceleration, fine arts, athletics, and intentional faith programming.
Our What-I-Need program closes academic gaps while honors courses let advanced students explore content at greater depth and complexity.
Band, digital art and design, studio art, theater production, vocal arts, and Spanish — a well-rounded education with creative freedom.
Chapel, daily community time for devotions, and IGNITE each year — programming that supplements The Bridge pillars and ignites faith with purpose.
Sportsmanship, teamwork, and Christlike character. Interscholastic sports begin in 7th grade — Legacy competes in TAPPS Class 5A.
Prepared for What's Ahead
The Bridge builds academic habits, character, and confidence — so students step into upper school ready to thrive.
Rigorous coursework, advisory support, and a biblical worldview prepare middle schoolers for LCA's college-preparatory upper school — academically, socially, and spiritually.
Peace of Mind for Families
