About This Guide

Stewards of the LCA Brand

Our name, logos, and visual identity are among Legacy Christian Academy’s most valuable assets. They represent more than a school — they reflect our mission, our community, and the excellence we strive to uphold every day.

Because of that, every use of the Legacy Christian Academy name and brand should reinforce one clear, consistent identity. Our Branding Policy exists to protect that identity while providing guidance for employees, families, volunteers, vendors, and community partners.

Read the Branding Policy

When Does the Branding Policy Apply?

The Branding Policy should be reviewed whenever Legacy Christian Academy’s name, logos, trademarks, or other brand assets are used in an official or public-facing capacity, including:

  • Apparel and merchandise
  • Athletics and spirit wear
  • Club and organization materials
  • Photography and promotional content
  • Websites and social media
  • Printed materials and event signage
  • Vendor-created products

Whether you’re a faculty member, coach, parent, volunteer, vendor, or booster organization, these standards help ensure Legacy is represented consistently and appropriately.

Before You Create…

To help protect the Legacy brand, please review the Branding Policy before:

  • Ordering apparel or promotional items
  • Creating online team stores
  • Designing spirit wear
  • Producing photography for commercial or promotional use
  • Using Legacy logos on websites or social media
  • Printing materials that include the Legacy name or logo

Our Logos

Four-Tier Logo System

The Legacy Christian Academy logo is the most recognizable expression of our identity. It represents our mission, our community, and the generations of students who have called Legacy home. Consistent use of our logos strengthens recognition, reinforces trust, and presents one unified school across every campus, department, program, and athletic team.

To protect the integrity of the Legacy brand, always use approved logo files provided by the Office of Marketing & Communications. Logos should never be recreated, altered, stretched, or combined with other graphics. Following these standards ensures every representation of Legacy Christian Academy reflects the excellence and professionalism our community expects.

Logo Usage

Clear Space, Size & Common Mistakes

Respectful logo usage ensures Legacy stands out distinctly in every environment — from printed materials to digital communications.

Clear Space

Clear space is the area surrounding the logo that should be free of all extraneous elements.

  • Horizontal logos: minimum 15% of logo height on all sides
  • Vertical logos: minimum 10% of logo height on all sides

Minimum Size (Tier 1)

Scale may increase as needed, but avoid sizes smaller than these when possible:

  • Horizontal logo: 0.375″ tall (crest height)
  • Vertical logo: 0.625″ tall (crest height)

Legibility is always the top priority. Contact Marketing & Communications for unusual applications.

When using any Legacy Christian Academy logo, remember these guiding principles:

  • Use only official, high-resolution logo files.
  • Maintain adequate clear space around the logo.
  • Preserve the logo’s proportions and colors.
  • Select the version that provides the greatest legibility for the application.

Incorrect Usage — Avoid These

Don’t use the logo on backgrounds with insufficient contrast.
Don’t change the color of the logo.
Don’t change the size, position, or relationship of logo elements.
Don’t distort the logo or size it disproportionately.
Don’t use the logo as text within a headline or sentence.
Don’t recreate or redraw the logo — always use official artwork.

School Colors

LCA Green & LCA Gold

Our primary colors should always be the prominent colors. Click any swatch to copy its hex value. Use these specifications rather than automatic software conversions when possible.

Secondary & Accent Colors

Additional colors add variety in combination with primary colors. They should never replace LCA Green or LCA Gold as the dominant palette.

Typography

Fonts That Tell Our Story

When used correctly and consistently, typography provides an immediate visual connection to Legacy Christian Academy.

Headlines · Oswald

Legacy Christian Academy

Oswald Regular for headlines. Alternative: Trade Gothic Next Condensed.

Subheads · Vollkorn

Christ-Centered Excellence

Vollkorn Bold for subheads. Alternative: Georgia.

Body · Open Sans

Body copy Open Sans Regular. Limit bold and italics — use them only to highlight specific words or phrases so they stand out.

Alternative: Calibri (Microsoft Office).

Athletic Font

Eagles Athletics

NCAA Arizona Wildcats Tucson — reserved for athletic teams only (baseball, football, softball, soccer, etc.).

Font safety: Primary fonts are free on Google Fonts and available in Google Docs and Adobe Creative Cloud. Do not download fonts from unverified sources — many have personal-use-only restrictions.

Email Signatures

A Consistent Professional Presence

LCA recommends that all employees use standard email signatures — like an electronic business card. Set up in Gmail using Georgia: bold for name and credentials, italic for job title, regular for school details.

For Families

Parent & Partner FAQs

Questions families and community partners often ask about representing Legacy respectfully.

Can parents or volunteers use the LCA logo?
Official brand guidelines apply to school-generated and school-sponsored materials. Parents and unofficial groups are encouraged to respect the brand, but should contact Marketing & Communications before using logos on flyers, social media, or merchandise — we can offer guidance and official artwork when appropriate.
Can I create a custom logo for my class, club, or event?
Please do not create derivations of official logos. Tier 3 and Tier 4 logos are created only by Marketing & Communications using approved templates. Special circumstances may warrant new program logos — the team will determine if a program qualifies for official treatment.
What colors should I use for party decorations or volunteer materials?
LCA Green (#154734) and LCA Gold (#FFB81C) should be dominant. Accent colors may supplement but should not replace the primary palette. Spirit Shop merchandise may vary seasonally with approval.
Where can I download official logo files?
Always use official logo artwork from Marketing & Communications — never recreate or redraw the mark. Email morgan.martin@legacyca.com to request the correct file format for your project (print, web, or merchandise).
Which fonts should I use in Google Docs or PowerPoint?
Use Oswald for headlines, Vollkorn Bold for subheads, and Open Sans for body copy. If primary fonts are unavailable, use Trade Gothic Next Condensed, Georgia, and Calibri respectively. Athletic materials should use the approved NCAA Wildcats Tucson font only for team branding.
Can athletics parents use the Eagles logo on team spirit wear?
The LCA Athletics & Activities logo is reserved for materials that identify and promote LCA athletics. Internal and external usage must be approved by the Senior Director of Athletics and Activities. Contact Marketing & Communications for the correct version and background color.
Who do I contact with brand questions?
Reach out to Morgan Martin, Director of Marketing, at morgan.martin@legacyca.com or 469.633.1330 ext. 254.
