With over two decades of coaching experience, Doug Hix has built a legacy of excellence, leadership, and transformation. Since 1999 he has shaped champions at programs across California and Texas, earning seven playoff appearances, two semifinal runs, and a championship. Recognized by ESPN as the “West Coast Training Guru,” he trained elite NFL and Olympic athletes before bringing his championship culture to Legacy.

Answers to the questions families ask most about Eagle Football.

What grades can play football at LCA?

Eagle Football fields varsity and developmental teams across upper school grades. Contact the coaching staff for current roster structure and tryout information for your student’s grade level.

Where are games played?

Home games are played at Comstock Stadium on the Legacy Christian Academy campus in Frisco. Directions and parking details are shared before each home game via the Parent Portal and team communications.

How do I buy tickets?

Tickets and the full game schedule are available through our RankOne athletics page. Arrive early on Friday nights—Comstock fills quickly for rivalry games.

How does college recruiting work?

Our recruiting staff—led by coaches with NFL and collegiate experience—helps student-athletes build film, navigate visits, and connect with college programs. Email football@legacyca.com for prospect information.

Is football a year-round program?

Eagle Football includes off-season strength, skill development, and 7-on-7 opportunities in addition to the fall season. The coaching staff communicates calendars through Schoology and team channels.

How is faith integrated into the program?

Legacy football is Christ-centered. Coaches mentor athletes spiritually, emphasize biblical character alongside competition, and build young men who lead with integrity on and off the field.
