At Legacy Christian Academy, our Early Learning program is designed to nurture the whole child as they set out on the journey God has for them. We equip our youngest learners to thrive in the classroom and beyond through a proven curriculum, exceptional teachers, and meaningful activities that ignite a love for learning.

Preschool Programs
Our Early Learning programs help students move seamlessly from one age and stage to the next, mastering readiness skills as they continue toward kindergarten.
Pre-K 4
Four years old by September 1. Hands-on academics and kindergarten readiness through play, exploration, and faith-centered instruction.
Junior Kindergarten
For young five-year-olds who benefit from an additional year of kindergarten preparation before entering formal kindergarten.

Program Schedule
All Early Learning classes begin at 8:30 a.m. Free early drop-off begins at 7:30 a.m. Dismissal times may adjust slightly year-to-year to support multi-division families.

Need care beyond the school day? Legacy Extended Care runs until 6:00 p.m. daily with snacks, crafts, and outdoor play — plus meaningful connections with LCA upper school student volunteers.

Full-time school nurse, dedicated counselor, and resident therapy dog visits supporting social-emotional wellness.

Hands-On Learning
LCA Early Learning students love coming to school because they explore, create, get messy, and learn by doing. We use the research-based Frogstreet Press curriculum for a strong academic foundation and seamless transition to kindergarten.

Intentional Tech Use
Classrooms are equipped with Promethean boards, computers, and iPads. Teachers use technology to increase engagement during specific lessons — while prioritizing off-screen learning for academic and social development.
Special Events
Early Learning students participate in LCA traditions — pep rallies, themed parties, and school-wide events. Pre-K 4 and Junior Kindergarten enjoy field trips including a fall Pumpkin Patch visit; Pre-K 3 students enjoy on-campus celebrations.
One School for Life
When you choose LCA, your child can remain in our close-knit community through graduation. Upper School students intern in Pre-K classrooms, volunteer in extended care, and build meaningful relationships with our youngest Eagles.
Legacy made wonderful improvements to our Early Learning Campus to make it ready for our little Eagles. We replaced playground gravel with turf, refreshed classrooms and hallways, and opened new tech and science labs. Security enhancements help ensure our campus remains a safe place for every child.
